Always use distilled, sterile, micro-filtered (0.2 micron), or previously boiled and cooled tap water (boil for 3-5 minutes, then cool to lukewarm). Never use unboiled tap water directly due to potential microbial contamination.

The NeilMed Sinus Rinse is generally considered safe for pregnant women. For children, it can be used with parental supervision; however, consult a physician for children under 5 years old. Always read the instructions carefully.

It is strongly recommended to use only NeilMed Sinus Rinse sachets. They contain a precisely balanced blend of pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate, which creates an isotonic, pH-balanced solution. Using regular table salt can lead to an improper concentration, causing burning or stinging sensations and may not be as effective.

Swallowing a small amount of the saline solution is generally harmless. However, it's best to avoid swallowing by keeping your mouth open and breathing through it during the rinse process.

The NeilMed Sinus Rinse bottle itself is reusable. For hygiene purposes, it is recommended to replace the bottle every three months of regular use.

While it's possible to warm water in the microwave, it's crucial to check the temperature thoroughly to ensure it's lukewarm and not too hot, as microwaves can heat unevenly. It's generally safer and more consistent to boil water and let it cool, or use pre-warmed distilled water.

Ensure your head is tilted correctly and you are breathing through your mouth. Gently squeeze the bottle with consistent pressure. Check if the cap or nozzle is clogged.

Ensure the water is lukewarm and not too hot or cold. Verify that you are using a full sachet with the correct amount of water (240 mL/8 fl oz) to achieve an isotonic solution. Using less powder or more water can make it hypotonic and cause discomfort.

During the rinse, breathe through your open mouth and avoid swallowing. Ensure your head is tilted properly over the sink. If water enters the ears, stop rinsing immediately and consult a doctor if discomfort persists.

This is uncommon with isotonic saline. Ensure you are using the correct sachet amount with the specified water volume. If dryness persists, try reducing the frequency of use or consult your doctor.

The bottle is designed to be squeezed firmly for optimal flow. If you have hand strength issues, consider a different type of nasal irrigation device, but ensure it still delivers sufficient volume at low pressure.
