FAQs

Can I use this basket in the bathroom?

Yes, but ensure it is kept away from direct water sources or high-humidity areas to prevent damage to the natural sisal fibers.

Is the handle strong enough to carry heavy books?

The handle is designed for general household items. It is recommended to avoid overloading it with excessive weight to ensure the handle's longevity.

Does the color fade over time?

Like most natural fiber items, prolonged exposure to direct, harsh sunlight may cause the colors to fade. Keep it in a shaded area to preserve the vibrant pattern.

Can I wash the basket in a washing machine?

No, the basket is not machine washable. Please follow the provided care instructions for spot cleaning.

What is the primary material used?

The basket is crafted from durable sisal, known for its strength and rustic texture.

Troubleshooting

Basket appears slightly misshapen upon arrival

Gently reshape the sisal material by hand and stuff with paper for a few hours to help it regain its intended form.

Visible dust or debris between weaves

Use the brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner on a low-suction setting to carefully lift debris from the fibers.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

No assembly is required for the Liffner Lif Single Handle Basket; it arrives ready to use. To maintain the appearance and structure of the basket, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the colors over time. To clean, gently shake out dust or use a soft-bristled brush to remove surface debris. Avoid submerging the basket in water, as natural sisal fibers can swell and lose shape if soaked. If the basket needs a deeper cleaning, spot clean with a very lightly dampened cloth and allow it to air dry completely.
