Is this wok compatible with induction cooktops?

Absolutely. It is designed to work on all hob types, including induction, gas, electric, and ceramic.

How do I clean the exterior?

Troubleshooting

Food begins to stick to the surface

Check if the pan was overheated, which can damage the coating. Clean the pan thoroughly to remove any invisible carbonized oil residues.

Pan is not heating on an induction hob

Ensure the base of the pan is centered on the induction zone and that the zone size matches the 28cm diameter of the wok.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Rapid and uniform heating due to forged aluminium build
  • PFAS-free diamond-infused ceramic non-stick surface
  • Compatible with all hob types, including induction
  • Durable and scratch-resistant finish
  • Ergonomic stay-cool handle for improved control

Cons

  • Limited to 160°C for oven use
  • Does not include a lid
  • Single-handle design may require two hands for heavier loads

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your KitchenAid Wok, follow these guidelines:

  • Initial Use: Before the first use, wash the pan in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
  • Heat Settings: While the pan is durable, avoid using extremely high heat settings as this can degrade the non-stick coating over time; medium heat is generally sufficient for most tasks.
  • Utensils: Although the coating is scratch-resistant, using silicone or wooden utensils will significantly extend the life of the surface.
  • Cleaning: While dishwasher safe, hand washing with a soft sponge and mild detergent is recommended to preserve the coating's integrity for as long as possible.
  • Storage: Due to its stackable design, use a pan protector or cloth between pieces if stacking with other cookware to prevent surface marks.
