FAQs

How often should I use the Christophe Robin Shade Variation Mask - Ash Brown?

You can use this mask weekly or whenever you feel your brown hair needs a color refresh and tone correction.

Will this mask cover grey hairs?

This mask is designed to refresh and tone existing brown hair, not to cover grey hair. It may slightly tint very light grey strands but does not offer complete grey coverage.

Can I use this on blonde hair?

It is not recommended for blonde hair as it is formulated for brown tones and may deposit unwanted ash or greenish tones. It is best suited for natural or dyed brown hair.

Do I need to wear gloves?

Yes, it is highly recommended to wear gloves during application to avoid temporary staining of the hands and cuticles.

How long should I leave the mask on for the best results?

The processing time ranges from 5 to 20 minutes. Start with 5 minutes for a subtle refresh and increase up to 20 minutes for a more noticeable color enhancement and tone neutralization. Always perform a strand test first.

What are the main nourishing ingredients?

The mask is enriched with shea butter, almond butter, and buriti oil, known for their intense moisturizing and conditioning properties.

Is this a permanent hair dye?

No, this is a semi-permanent color-depositing treatment designed to refresh and tone hair between salon visits. The color will gradually fade with washing.

Troubleshooting

Hair appears too dark or has a greenish tint.

This can happen if the mask was left on for too long or if the hair was very porous. For future applications, reduce the processing time or perform a strand test. If it's already occurred, a clarifying shampoo might help to gradually lift the excess color.

Color refresh is not visible.

Ensure the mask was applied evenly and left on for the recommended minimum time (5 minutes). The effect is subtle and designed for refreshing, not a drastic color change. If hair is very light or has strong underlying pigment, results might be minimal.

Hair feels dry after use.

While the mask is nourishing, rinsing thoroughly is key. Ensure all product is removed. Follow with a conditioner if your hair requires extra moisture, although this is uncommon due to the mask's rich formula.

Uneven color application.

This is usually due to uneven application. Ensure hair is thoroughly saturated with the mask, paying attention to all sections. Using a fine-tooth comb to distribute the product can help.
