Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This tape measure requires no setup beyond unlatching the blade and extending it for use. Ensure the lock mechanism functions correctly before taking critical measurements.
Compatibility:
Compatible with standard measuring practices across various trades including carpentry, construction, plumbing, and general contracting.
Care:
- Blade Care: Retract the blade carefully to avoid snapping. Wipe the blade clean with a dry cloth after use, especially if exposed to dirt or moisture. Periodically check the BladeArmor section for damage.
- Case Care: Keep the case clean by wiping it with a damp cloth. Avoid submerging the tape measure in water.
- Hook Care: Ensure the Tru-Zero hook remains free of debris to maintain accurate measurements. Check the rivets periodically for tightness.
- Storage: Store the tape measure in a dry environment to prevent rust on the blade and corrosion on the hook.
