StoneCare4U Slate Sealer Satin Finish is a high-performance stone sealer formulated especially for natural slate surfaces. It is also suitable for other porous natural stones such as limestone and sandstone (*exceptions apply). It provides a hard-wearing, attractive satin finish that intensifies natural colours and gives a stain-resistant coating. The product can be used on external or internal surfaces. Clean sealed areas with a mild, pH neutral cleaner or a very low concentration of our outdoor cleaner range. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents, as this can have a negative effect on the treated surface. Not recommended for use on highly polished stone & ceramic glazed surfaces. Please note this product is not suitable for Kandla Grey (mid & light grey) sandstone. The fast-drying formula creates a durable, stain-resistant coating with a satin gloss. Before application, remove any loose debris from the work surface and ensure adequate safety wear, such as gloves, suitable protective eyewear, a face mask, and clothing. Leave the surface for a minimum of 72 hours with clear and dry weather to ensure the surface is completely dry and ready to be sealed; ensure weather conditions are favourable before commencing. Application temperature range: 15 to 23 degrees Celsius. Apply the sealer thinly and evenly with either a low-pressure sprayer, microfibre mop, paintbrush or soft cloth, taking care not to leave application marks or allow the product to puddle on the surface. Do not dilute! Allow between 45 and 60 minutes of drying time before applying the second coat, repeating the same process; apply the product in the opposite direction to help achieve an even consistent finish. More coats can be applied if necessary to achieve a “gloss” finish. Important: Essential Slate Sealer Satin Finish may change the colour/appearance of some surfaces - always test the product in an inconspicuous area prior to use. Surfaces that are not to be sealed should be protected with masking material.
