They feature a coarse self-tapping thread with wings that ream out the timber, allowing the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings hit the metal, they break off to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal. The screws have a 5.5mm thread diameter, a 50mm length, and a countersunk head with ribs, and a Phillips recess. They are self-drilling with a No.3 point, a zinc finish, and are made from case & core hardened carbon steel. The effective thread length is 26mm, and the max drilling thickness is 5.0mm. They are suitable for timber from 19-28mm. This pack contains 200 screws.
