Setup, Compatibility & Care
When your plant arrives in its 9cm pot, water it thoroughly before transplanting. Choose a location with well-drained but moisture-retentive soil and ensure the spot receives full sun to partial shade. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and ensure the top of the root mass is level with the surrounding soil surface. Water deeply after planting and keep the area consistently moist during the first growing season. To keep the plant healthy, deadhead spent flowers to encourage further blooming. In late autumn or early spring, you can tidy up the foliage by cutting it back to ground level, which prepares the plant for a fresh, vigorous start in the next season.
