FAQs
Does this balloon come with helium?
No, all balloons are sent out flat and require you to supply your own helium or air inflation.
Can I reuse the balloon?
Yes, you can carefully insert a straw to deflate the balloon after your event and store it for future use.
What is the best way to hang the balloon without helium?
You can use balloon glue dots or painter's tape to attach the balloon to a wall or a decorative arch.
Is the gold lettering printed on both sides?
Yes, the design is applied to provide a consistent look from multiple viewing angles.
How long will the balloon stay inflated?
When filled with helium, foil balloons typically stay inflated and buoyant for several days depending on environmental conditions.
Troubleshooting
Balloon appears wrinkled or soft
The balloon may need additional air or helium; check that the self-sealing valve is properly closed and gently add more gas.
Balloon will not float
Ensure you are using helium; air-filled foil balloons will not float on their own and should be taped to walls or surfaces.
Valve is leaking gas
Gently press the neck of the balloon to ensure the self-sealing mechanism is flat and tightly closed.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-quality foil construction for extended durability
- Sophisticated gold-on-white aesthetic suits most engagement themes
- Perfect 18-inch size for versatile placement
- Lightweight design makes it easy to hang or mount
Cons
- Requires separate purchase of helium or an inflator
- Ships flat, meaning it cannot be used immediately upon arrival
- Foil material is not biodegradable
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To prepare your balloon, insert a straw or the nozzle of a balloon pump into the self-sealing valve located at the base of the foil. Gently inflate until the balloon is firm but do not over-inflate, as this may rupture the seams. For helium inflation, ensure the balloon is securely tethered with ribbon to prevent it from floating away. To maximize the longevity of the balloon, keep it in a temperature-controlled environment away from direct sunlight or sharp objects, as extreme heat can cause the gas inside to expand and the foil to weaken.
