A bushy perennial shrub with aromatic, bright green foliage and tall stems with contrasting dark hues. The Salvia Amistad, also known more commonly as Sage, is a tall cultivar with mildly fuzzy or hair, pointed leaves alongside tall stems of deep purple nearing black, carrying similarly coloured buds which bloom constantly into beautiful royal purple flowers with a tubular shape from early Summer and through to the beginnings of Autumn. Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained, light soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Drought tolerant once established. Considered an evergreen in milder regions but frost and Winter protection are still advised. Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Herbaceous plants die back below the soil in the Winter and may be supplied in their dormant state during this time. Fresh growth will be seen the following Spring.
