Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best outcome, clear the area of debris and weeds before laying down the chippings. Installing a heavy-duty membrane beneath the stone is highly advised to maintain separation from the soil and suppress vegetation growth.
- Preparation: Level the ground and ensure proper drainage grading before application.
- Compatibility: Works well with timber edging, brick borders, or metal garden edging to keep the stones contained.
- Care: Periodically rake the surface to smooth out ruts or displacement caused by heavy footfall. If the stones become covered in organic matter or garden debris, using a leaf blower on a low setting can help clear the surface without displacing the aggregate.
