Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the system, attach the electronic alarm to your bank stick or rod pod using the standard thread. Insert a fresh 9V battery into the compartment on the underside of the unit. Connect the bobbin to your bank stick using the provided chain, clipping the ball-bearing mechanism onto your main line just behind the rod tip.
For care, avoid submerging the alarm head in water, as internal electronics are not fully waterproof. If the unit gets wet, wipe it down immediately with a dry cloth and remove the battery if storing for long periods. Periodically check the bobbin clip to ensure no grit or debris interferes with the ball-bearing tension.
