Product Information

Full details

The Sloomy Monaco Plush Divan Set is designed for individuals seeking a comfortable and stylish bed foundation with a modern aesthetic. Its key benefit is the premium platform-top construction offering even mattress support and floor protection via chrome gliders. A potential caveat is its single-sided mattress, requiring no flipping but meaning rotation is the primary maintenance.

FAQs

What is the comfort rating of the included mattress?

The mattress included in the Sloomy Monaco Plush Divan Set has a medium comfort rating, offering a balance of support and pressure relief.

Can I flip the mattress?

No, the mattress is single-sided and designed to be non-turnable. However, you should rotate it head-to-toe regularly for even wear.

How do I clean the divan base?

Wipe the fabric base with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. The chrome gliders can be polished with a soft cloth.

What is the warranty period for this bed set?

The Sloomy Monaco Plush Divan Set comes with a 1-year guarantee.

Are there options for different headboard styles?

This specific model includes a standard 54" strutted headboard. Please refer to other Sloomy Monaco variants for potentially different headboard options.

What are the dimensions of the King size set?

Standard UK King size dimensions typically apply (approximately 150cm x 200cm for the mattress and base). Please refer to specific product dimensions if available for exact measurements.

Can I choose a different fabric or colour?

Yes, the Monaco set is available in various fabric collections like Plush Velvet, Naples, Coniston, and Dumfries, offering a range of colours and textures to suit your preference.

Troubleshooting

Bed base seems uneven or wobbly.

Ensure all legs/gliders are securely screwed in and that the bed is on a level surface. Adjust gliders if necessary.

Headboard is loose.

Check that all bolts connecting the headboard to the divan base are tightened appropriately. Refer to the assembly instructions.

Mattress feels too firm or too soft.

The mattress is designed for medium comfort. Allow a break-in period of 2-3 weeks. If still uncomfortable, consider a mattress topper. Ensure the mattress has been rotated as recommended.

Fabric on the divan base has a mark.

Gently blot the affected area with a clean, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid scrubbing. Allow to air dry fully.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Provides even mattress support with a platform top.
  • Durable construction due to UK handcrafting.
  • Modern aesthetic with a stylish headboard design.
  • Multiple fabric and colour options to customize your look.
  • Medium comfort mattress suitable for a wide range of sleepers.

Cons

  • Mattress is single-sided, meaning it cannot be flipped.
  • Requires regular rotation to ensure even wear.
  • No handles on the mattress for easier maneuvering.
  • Ideal for occasional use, may not be best for very heavy daily use without consideration.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup:

  1. Unpack all components, ensuring you have the base, headboard, and mattress.
  2. Assemble the base according to the provided instructions. This typically involves attaching the feet or gliders.
  3. Attach the headboard to the pre-drilled holes on the divan base. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Place the mattress onto the platform top of the base. As the mattress is single-sided, ensure the knitted cover is facing upwards.

Compatibility:

  • The platform-top base is compatible with most standard mattress types, including open-coil, pocket-sprung, and foam mattresses.
  • Ensure the mattress dimensions match the King size base.

Care:

  • Base: Wipe the fabric base with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For the chrome gliders, use a soft cloth to maintain their shine.
  • Mattress: Since the mattress is single-sided, it cannot be flipped. To ensure even wear, rotate the mattress head-to-toe regularly (e.g., monthly). Spot clean any spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then allow to air dry completely. Do not saturate the mattress.
