Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: Upon receiving the nipper, you may notice a protective anti-rust oil coating on the metal parts. This is normal and can be easily removed with a clean, dry cloth or a degreasing agent. Ensure the tool is clean before your first use.
Compatibility: This nipper is designed for use with glass tile, porcelain, mosaic, wall & floor ceramic, stained glass, and mirror. It is effective for tiles up to approximately 6mm (0.24 inches) thick.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the nipper clean of any tile dust or debris using a dry cloth.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light machine oil to the pivot point and spring mechanism to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
- Storage: Store the nipper in a dry place. Avoid exposure to moisture.
- Wheel Maintenance: The tungsten carbide cutting wheel is designed for durability. If it becomes dull, it may need to be replaced. (Note: The cutting wheel does not scroll).
