Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Begin by ensuring your fire pit burner is turned off and completely cooled. Place a stainless steel mesh screen over the burner holes if the glass pieces are small enough to fall through. Gently pour the fire glass over the burner until the element is completely obscured. Avoid dumping the glass from a great height to prevent chipping or damaging the burner surface.
Compatibility: This glass is designed for use with propane and natural gas fire features. It is not recommended for traditional wood-burning fireplaces, as ash and soot can quickly coat the glass, dulling its reflective finish.
Care: To maintain the brilliant sparkle, clean the glass once or twice per season depending on environmental exposure. Simply remove the glass, rinse it in a bucket with a mixture of water and white vinegar, drain, and allow it to dry completely before replacing it in the fire pit.
