The JP Double Saddle Clamp 8SWG is an essential hardware solution designed for RC hobbyists and model aircraft enthusiasts who require a secure mounting method for landing gear or undercarriage struts. These clamps provide a robust, vibration-resistant attachment point for 8SWG wire, ensuring structural integrity during flight and landing; however, they require specific wire gauge compatibility to ensure a proper fit.

These clamps are specifically engineered for 8SWG wire. Other gauges may result in a loose fit or prevent the clamp from sealing correctly.
Each package contains 4 individual JP Double Saddle Clamps.
The kit includes the clamps; please check your specific model’s mounting plate requirements for the appropriate screw lengths.
Yes, these are designed to handle the vibration and landing stresses typical of standard and heavy-duty RC aircraft.
Using a small amount of thread-locking fluid on the screw threads is a recommended practice for all RC hardware.
Verify that the wire gauge is exactly 8SWG and ensure the mounting screws are tightened in an alternating, even pattern.
Ensure the pilot holes in the base are aligned with the clamp holes and check that the mounting surface is flat.
To set up these clamps, ensure you are using genuine 8SWG wire; using a wire gauge that is too small may result in a loose fit, while a larger wire may prevent the clamp from closing properly. Use standard matching hardware to mount the clamps to your model's chassis.
For maintenance, periodically inspect the screws for tightness, especially after flight sessions involving hard landings. If the aircraft is exposed to moisture or extreme environments, apply a light machine oil to the screws to prevent corrosion and ensure they can be easily removed for future model adjustments.
