Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation is straightforward but requires attention to torque. Because these are aluminium, use a hand tool rather than a power drill to avoid stripping the threads or rounding the button head.
- Remove the old fastener and check the hole for debris.
- Insert the rubber nut into the hole until the flange sits flush against the surface.
- Place the nylon washer onto the bolt.
- Thread the bolt into the nut by hand first to ensure proper alignment.
- Tighten until firm; do not overtighten as aluminium can shear under excessive torque.
Compatibility is primarily limited to M6-sized mounting points. Always inspect the kit before installation to confirm the bolt length is suitable for your bike's specific fairing thickness. To clean, use a soft cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh abrasive chemicals that may affect the anodised finish.
