This FloPlast Grey Solvent Weld Waste Pipe is 3 meters long with a diameter of 40mm. It is suitable for conveying waste water, often referred to as foul drainage, to the above or below ground drainage system. The 40mm diameter is typically used for baths, showers, kitchen sinks, and dishwashers. Manufactured in the UK to BS EN 1455 standards and is kitemarked. To create a solvent weld joint, ensure both the pipe and fitting surfaces are clean. Apply SC250 solvent cement to both surfaces, then insert the pipe fully into the fitting and twist to ensure full contact. Wipe away any excess solvent with a damp cloth and allow to set for 5 minutes. The installation should be left for 12 hours before testing. Solvent weld joints are permanent and cannot be demounted once made. Always use solvent cement in a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources or naked flames. Avoid skin contact; if it occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
