Elinchrom Modelling Lamp - 200W - GX 6.35

This 200W, 2-pin GX 6.35 bulb is designed for Elinchrom El 1000, 750 S, 1500 S, 1500 R heads, and Style RX300 and RX600 heads manufactured from August 2013 onwards. Check your flash head's manual or the manufacturing date to confirm.

The lifespan of a modelling bulb varies depending on usage hours and power cycles. As a general guideline, these bulbs are rated for several hundred to a thousand hours of continuous use, but actual life can differ.

It is strongly recommended to only use the specified wattage (200W) and type of bulb. Using a higher wattage bulb can overheat and damage the flash head's electronics, reflectors, and potentially cause a fire hazard.

The modelling lamp's color temperature (3200K) is for pre-visualization. The main flash tube's color temperature is separate and typically much closer to daylight (around 5500K), though this can vary by manufacturer and model.

This bulb is designed as a *modelling* lamp for studio flash units, not for continuous lighting applications. Its primary purpose is to indicate where light will fall before the flash fires.

Allow the bulb to cool completely. It can typically be disposed of with regular household waste, but check local regulations for electronic waste disposal if available.

Ensure the flash head is powered on and the modelling lamp function is activated. Verify the bulb is correctly seated in the GX 6.35 socket and try a different compatible bulb to rule out a faulty new bulb. Check the flash unit's fuse or internal diagnostics if possible.

Check that the bulb is securely seated. The bulb may be nearing the end of its lifespan and requires replacement. Ensure the power source is stable and the flash head is functioning correctly.

Wear protective eyewear and gloves. If the bulb breaks, carefully clear all glass fragments from the socket and surrounding area before installing a new bulb. Ensure the flash head is completely cool before attempting cleanup.
