Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
No specific setup is required beyond ensuring the brush is clean and dry before first use. It is ready to be loaded with paint directly from its packaging.
Compatibility:
This brush is optimized for use with flat paints, including emulsion and matte finishes. While it can be used with other paint types, its design is best suited for these formulations to achieve optimal results. It is compatible with most standard paint trays and buckets.
Care:
Proper cleaning is essential for the longevity and performance of the brush.
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, clean the brush thoroughly.
- Water-Based Paints: Rinse the brush under warm running water. Use a brush comb or your fingers to work out as much paint as possible. Continue rinsing until the water runs clear.
- Oil-Based Paints: Use the appropriate solvent (e.g., white spirit) to clean the brush. Work the solvent through the bristles, then rinse with soap and warm water.
- Drying: Shake off excess water or solvent. Reshape the bristles to their original form. Hang the brush to dry or lay it flat, avoiding resting it directly on the bristles.
- Storage: Store the brush in a clean, dry place. Hanging bristles up is recommended to maintain bristle shape.
