Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. For optimal adhesion, surfaces should be sound.
- Cut the nozzle tip to the desired bead size.
- Puncture the inner seal of the tube.
- Fit the tube into a standard sealant gun.
- Apply a consistent bead of sealant using the gun.
Compatibility:
This sealant adheres strongly to a wide range of common building materials including wood, brick, concrete, plaster, glass, metal, and some plastics. It is advisable to test on a small, inconspicuous area if unsure about compatibility with a specific material.
Care:
- Uncured sealant can be cleaned with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, mineral spirits may be used cautiously. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.
- Cured sealant can be removed mechanically or by using specialized sealant removal products.
- Store tubes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
