Bosch Metal Drill Bit - 7mm

This bit is designed for drilling in alloyed and non-alloyed steel, non-ferrous metals, cast steel, cast iron, plastics, and wood.

The PointTeQ tip is self-centring and significantly reduces or eliminates the need for a centre punch for most applications, allowing for accurate starts without wandering.

The black-oxide coating on the flute helps to quickly remove chips from the drilled hole. This aids in preventing clogging, reduces heat buildup, and extends the life of the drill bit.

This drill bit has a cylindrical shank and is compatible with standard three-jaw drill chucks found on most common drills.

The design promotes an increased drilling rate which generates less heat and wear, allowing for efficient drilling. However, always use appropriate speeds for the material being drilled to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Keep the bit clean after use by removing shavings and store it in a dry place to prevent corrosion. Avoid subjecting it to excessive heat or impact.

Ensure the PointTeQ tip is properly seated on the material and that the drill is held perpendicular. For very hard surfaces, a light pilot dimple with a centre punch may still be beneficial.

Reduce drill speed, apply steady pressure, and ensure the flutes are clear of debris. Use a suitable cutting lubricant if drilling into tougher metals.

Check that the drill chuck is clean and free of debris. Ensure the bit shank is fully inserted and the chuck is tightened securely.

Verify the bit is sharp and not damaged. Ensure correct drilling speed and pressure are being used for the material.
