Yes, the Topscan OBD2 Scanner is compatible with iOS devices (iPhones) that support Bluetooth 5.0. It is not compatible with tablets.
The Topscan scanner includes one year of free software updates and access to all functions. After the first year, a subscription is required for continued access to all reset functions and software updates.
If you choose not to subscribe after the first year, you will retain access to basic functions like I/M status, vehicle performance data, VE calculation, and the Repair Library. Access to advanced reset functions and new software updates will be discontinued.
An internet connection is required for initial app setup, device registration, and software updates. Once set up, basic diagnostic functions can often be performed offline, but some features may require connectivity.
Navigate to the 'Active Test' or 'Bi-directional Control' section in the Topdon app. Select the component you wish to test (e.g., A/C clutch, window motor) and follow the app's instructions to send commands and observe the component's response.
