Before purchasing, confirm that the XEPS229 is compatible with your vehicle's specific engine code. Installation should only be performed when the exhaust system is completely cool to avoid severe burns. Use a 17 mm wrench to carefully remove the old sensor, ensuring the wiring harness is disconnected first. When installing the new unit, thread it by hand to prevent cross-threading before tightening with the wrench. Keep the sensor cable clear of sharp edges and high-vibration engine components to prevent electrical shorts.
