The OKODOKO M6 Multi-Grip Rivet Nut set is designed for professionals and DIY enthusiasts who require secure, permanent threaded mounting points in thin sheet materials. These zinc-plated fasteners are ideal for automotive, construction, and general repair tasks where a reliable, vibration-resistant grip is essential. While highly effective, users should note that a specialized rivet nut setting tool is required for proper installation, as these cannot be installed with standard hand tools alone.

No, you need a specific rivet nut setting tool or a rivet nut adapter kit for a drill/driver.
These are made of steel with a zinc-plated finish for enhanced corrosion resistance.
No, these are permanent fasteners. Once they are installed and compressed, they cannot be removed without damaging the fastener or the surrounding material.
Always check the specific hole size requirement on the packaging, as it is typically slightly larger than the M6 shank diameter to ensure a proper fit.
These are specifically designed for thin sheet metal or hard plastic; they will not hold securely in wood or other porous materials.
The hole was likely drilled too large. Ensure you use the correct drill bit size recommended for the M6 body diameter.
This often occurs due to over-tightening during installation. Use a manual setting tool to better control the compression force.
Check that the rivet nut setting tool is fully threaded onto the nut before applying pressure. Ensure the material thickness is within the effective grip range of the fastener.
Proper installation requires a rivet nut setting tool or a threaded mandrel kit. Begin by drilling a hole slightly larger than the body diameter of the nut. Insert the nut into the hole and engage your setting tool, which will draw the shank toward the flange, collapsing the bulb behind the sheet metal until firm. Avoid over-tightening with power tools, as this can strip the internal threads or damage the fastener's structural integrity. These components are designed for low-maintenance use, but in harsh marine or chemical environments, a light application of anti-seize lubricant on the bolt threads can help maintain long-term access.
