Sheradising is a heat treatment process that diffuses zinc into the steel, providing a layer of corrosion protection.

These panel pins are suitable for use with wood, plywood, and certain plastics. Always test on a small section.

Select a pin length that is at least twice the thickness of the material being fastened. This provides sufficient grip.

While the sheradised finish provides some corrosion resistance, prolonged exposure to the elements may still cause some degradation. Consider using stainless steel pins for outdoor projects.

Use a claw hammer or pliers to gently lever or pull the pin out. Be careful not to damage the surrounding material.

Try to remove the remaining portion of the pin using pliers or a small pry bar. If it is flush with the surface, you may need to drill a small hole next to it and insert a new pin, or fill the hole.

Use a pilot hole, or consider a different type of pin or fastener for harder materials.
