Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
- Measure Shaft Diameter: Accurately measure the diameter of the drive shaft where the boot will be fitted (19-28 mm) and the diameter of the joint housing (56-110 mm).
- Prepare Components: Clean the drive shaft and surrounding area thoroughly.
- Fit Boot: Slide the new CV boot over the drive shaft, ensuring it is correctly oriented.
- Apply Grease: Apply the provided 60g sachet of MoS2 CV grease evenly inside the boot and onto the CV joint.
- Secure Clamps: Position the stainless steel clamps at the designated points on the boot and tighten them securely using appropriate tools.
Compatibility:
This is a universal kit. Verify that your shaft diameter falls within the 19-28 mm range and the join diameter is between 56-110 mm. Consult your vehicle's service manual or a professional if unsure.
Care:
CV boots require no regular maintenance beyond inspection for damage. If the boot is compromised, it should be replaced immediately to prevent damage to the CV joint. Ensure clamps remain tight and free from corrosion.
