Product Information

Full details

The ZWILLING Loft 24-piece cutlery set is designed for those who appreciate understated elegance at their dining table, serving up to six people. Its key benefit is the simple yet enduring design paired with robust 18/10 stainless steel construction. A minor consideration is that the embossed 'eyes' on the dinner and dessert forks are a distinct design element that may not appeal to everyone seeking a completely unadorned look.

FAQs

What does '18/10 stainless steel' mean?

18/10 refers to the composition of the stainless steel: 18% chromium and 10% nickel. This alloy provides excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and a bright, polished finish.

Are the knives sharp enough for everyday use?

Yes, the knives are forged with premium blade steel and are designed to be sharp and effective for everyday dining tasks.

How many people does this 24-piece set serve?

The 24-piece set is designed to serve six people, with each person receiving a dinner knife, dinner fork, dinner spoon, and coffee spoon.

Can I use this cutlery for formal dining occasions?

Absolutely. The simple, minimalist design and polished finish of the ZWILLING Loft set make it suitable for both casual everyday meals and more formal dining occasions.

What is the 'embossed eyes' detail on the forks?

The dinner forks and dessert forks feature a subtle, embossed circular pattern, often referred to as 'eyes', on one side of the handle, adding a unique design element.

What is the warranty on this cutlery set?

Information regarding specific warranty periods should be checked with the retailer or ZWILLING directly, as it can vary by region and purchase date.

Is it safe to use harsh detergents with this set?

It is not recommended to use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners. Mild dish soap is best to preserve the finish and integrity of the stainless steel.

Troubleshooting

Water spots or dullness on cutlery

Ensure cutlery is dried immediately after washing, especially if using a dishwasher. Use a soft cloth for drying. If spots persist, try a mild stainless steel cleaner or a solution of vinegar and water, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.

Minor scratches on the surface

Small scratches are a natural result of use. Avoid abrasive cleaning materials. For noticeable scratches, you can try a specialized stainless steel polish, following the product's instructions carefully.

Rust spots (rare)

While 18/10 stainless steel is highly resistant, rust spots can occasionally occur if exposed to harsh chemicals or left in salty conditions for prolonged periods. Try cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner or a paste of baking soda and water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Food residue clinging to cutlery

Ensure all food is rinsed off before placing in the dishwasher. For stubborn residue, soak the item in warm water for a short period before washing. Check dishwasher spray arms for blockages that might affect water pressure.

Compatibility: This cutlery set is designed for standard dining use. It is compatible with most dinnerware and serves six people.

Care Instructions:

  • Dishwasher Use: The set is dishwasher-safe. For best results and to maintain the luster, it is recommended to rinse pieces before placing them in the dishwasher and arrange them so they do not touch each other excessively during the wash cycle.
  • Hand Washing: If hand washing, use a soft sponge and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and maintain the polished finish.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel surface.
  • Storage: Store the cutlery in a dry place. Consider using a cutlery tray to prevent scratches when stored in a drawer.
