The CK Tools Xonic ESD Screwdriver Set (T4884X) is a professional-grade tool kit designed for technicians and hobbyists working with sensitive electronic components. It provides a static-safe environment for delicate repairs by preventing harmful electrostatic discharge, though it is specifically optimized for small-scale precision electronics rather than heavy-duty mechanical fastening.

The product information does not specify magnetic tips. Standard ESD procedures often prefer non-magnetic tools to avoid interfering with sensitive hardware.
While they are high-quality, they are designed for delicate electronic components. Using them for general household tasks may exceed the torque rating of these precision tools.
The T4884X set includes 3 slotted screwdrivers and 1 Phillips screwdriver.
The tools themselves are made from ESD-safe materials that dissipate charge. You do not connect a wire to the driver; rather, ensure your body is grounded via a wrist strap to maintain potential parity.
Wipe the handles with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or an appropriate electronic-safe cleaner. Avoid aggressive solvents that might damage the ESD-conductive properties of the plastic.
Ensure you are using the correct size for the screw. Even if it looks similar, verify the drive type (Slotted vs Phillips) to ensure a perfect fit.
Check for debris or dust trapped under the cap and blow it out with compressed air. Do not use oils or lubricants as they may cause static buildup.
Verify that your workbench or floor mat is properly grounded to a known good earth point. Ensure the ESD-safe properties of the tool are not compromised by heavy dirt or insulating residue on the handle.
To maximize the effectiveness of the ESD protection, ensure your workspace is properly grounded with an ESD mat or wrist strap when using these tools. No complex setup is required; the screwdrivers are ready to use out of the packaging. For care, wipe the blades with a dry, clean cloth after use to remove any oils or debris. Store the tools in a dedicated rack or ESD-safe case to prevent mechanical damage to the tips. Avoid using the screwdrivers on non-electronic applications, such as construction or woodworking, as high-torque tasks can damage the fine tips and handle mechanism.
