Infrared heating warms objects and people directly through radiant energy, similar to the sun's warmth. Traditional heating methods typically warm the air (convection) which then heats objects and people, often leading to heat loss through drafts.

The panel has an IP44 rating, which means it is protected against dust and splashing water. However, it should not be immersed in water and professional advice should be sought for installation in high-moisture areas.

The 550W model is ideal for mid-sized rooms, typically providing effective heating for spaces around 15-20 square meters, depending on room insulation and ceiling height.

While the panel can be operated directly from the mains, using an external thermostat is highly recommended for precise temperature control, energy efficiency, and comfort.

It is not recommended to paint the panel as it can affect its heating efficiency and potentially void the warranty. The galvanised steel body is designed to maintain its clean white finish.
