FAQs

What does the 96V rating mean?

The 96 indicates a load index of 710 kg per tyre, and the V signifies a speed rating of up to 149 mph (240 km/h).

Are these tyres suitable for winter?

While the EfficientGrip 2 SUV offers excellent wet-weather performance, it is classified as a summer-oriented tyre and is not a replacement for dedicated winter tyres in extreme snowy or icy conditions.

How often should I check the tyre pressure?

You should check the pressure at least once a month and before any long road trips.

Can I use these on a sedan?

This tyre is specifically engineered for the weight and handling characteristics of SUVs; please check your vehicle's tyre placard for the correct size and load requirements.

Does this tyre come with a mileage warranty?

While it features technology to increase mileage by 25%, specific warranty terms depend on the region and the retailer; please consult your purchase receipt or local dealer.

Troubleshooting

Noticeable vibration while driving at highway speeds

The tyres likely require re-balancing; visit a professional tyre centre to check the wheel balance.

Uneven tread wear pattern

Check your vehicle's wheel alignment and verify that you are maintaining the manufacturer-recommended tyre pressure.

Increased road noise

Inspect for trapped stones or debris in the tread grooves and check for irregular wear patterns indicating alignment issues.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly increased mileage lifespan
Improved braking performance on wet surfaces
Fuel-efficient rolling resistance
Stable handling at high speeds
Durable construction for long-term reliability

Cons

Not intended for heavy off-road use
Performance may vary on icy or snowy surfaces
Specific 225/50 R19 size may not fit all rim widths

Setup, Compatibility & Care

For optimal performance, ensure these tyres are installed by a professional who can verify wheel alignment and balance. The 225/50 R19 96V specification is designed for specific rim diameters and load capacities; confirm your vehicle's manual or current tyre sidewall to ensure full compatibility. To maintain the 25% increase in mileage, perform a monthly pressure check, as under-inflated tyres can lead to premature shoulder wear. Rotate your tyres every 6,000 to 8,000 miles to ensure even tread distribution. Always inspect the tread periodically for embedded sharp objects or deep cuts, especially after traveling on particularly rough terrain.
