Setup
- Preparation: Before starting, ensure you have all necessary tools like a saw, measuring tape, screws or nails, and safety gear such as gloves and eye protection.
- Cutting: Measure and cut the timber to the required dimensions for your project. A hand saw or power saw can be used.
- Assembly: Join the pieces of timber using screws or nails. Pre-drilling holes can prevent splitting, especially near the ends.
- Finishing: Sand the timber to your desired smoothness. Apply a sealant, varnish, or paint to protect the wood and enhance its appearance.
Compatibility
Metsä Wood Rough Sawn Spruce Stick Timber is compatible with most standard woodworking tools and finishes. However, ensure that any screws, nails, or adhesives are suitable for use with softwood.
Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the timber with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
- Protection: Apply a sealant or varnish to protect the wood from moisture and UV exposure, particularly for outdoor projects.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the timber for any signs of damage or wear. Reapply sealant or varnish as needed.
