FAQs

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the chest circumference behind the front legs. Use four fingers for sizes 0-4 and two fingers for Baby 1-2 to locate the correct measurement point.

Can I replace the patches on the side?

Yes, the harness features hook and loop fasteners on both sides, allowing you to attach thousands of different custom patches.

Is the harness safe for night walks?

Yes, the harness includes reflective chest belts, reflective stitching, and fluorescent branding to increase visibility in low-light conditions.

Where is the product manufactured?

All Julius-K9 products use high-quality fabrics produced within the EU.

Do I still need to use a collar with this harness?

The harness features a strengthened INOX D-ring on the back, which is designed to securely fix a lead, making a collar optional for walking purposes.

Troubleshooting

Harness shifting during walks

Re-check the abdominal strap tension. It may be too loose, allowing the harness to rotate.

Dog struggling with the quick-release clip

Ensure the dog is properly desensitized to the clicking sound and check that no fur is caught in the buckle.

Difficulty finding the right fit

Follow the four-finger/two-finger measuring rule carefully and ensure the chest strap is properly centered before tightening.

Pros and Cons

Cons

Requires careful measurement to ensure a proper fit
May feel bulky for very small breeds
Flashlight and patches often sold separately

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To achieve the perfect fit, start by measuring the dog's chest circumference using a fabric tape measure. For sizes 0 to 4, position the tape four fingers behind the front legs; for Baby sizes, use two fingers. The tape should be snug but not restrictive. Adjust the abdominal slide and chest hook and loop fastener until the harness sits comfortably without slipping. Maintain the harness by wiping it with a damp cloth to remove mud or debris. Ensure the buckles are free from grit to maintain the quick-fastening performance.
