The head is wide enough for joists up to 3" (75mm) and is suitable for all common heights. For wider joists we recommend placing alternate pedestals from opposite sides of the joist. An easy to operate threaded adjustment ring makes raising or lowering the head really quick and precise. Height adjustments can be made without lifting or removing the joists thus allowing for extremely easy and fast installation. As standard each Low-Level 2442 pedestal comes complete with one 9mm extender ring (this can be fitted by lifting the head out of the base, inserting the ring and replacing the head). The large 200mm (8”) base plate provides stable support on most surfaces. Scribe marks are provided on the underside to assist in trimming for use at sides and corners of installations. An optional 3mm thick anti-slip, cushioning, rubber base ring is available for use on membranes, etc. This effectively reduces transmitted noise where decks are mounted on balconies or roof areas, as well as for floors in multi-occupancy buildings.2442LP pedestal supports are rated to support loads of 650Kg at their maximum height adjustment. The normal spacing apart for the 2442LP-SL-DF is at 500 to 600mm centres for most projects, potentially saving up to 50% on units required for many projects when compared with other systems.Self-Levelling - 0° to 5° slopes Standard height adjustment from 24mm to 42mm Suitable for flooring and decking beam/joist levelling and support Very Quick and Easy installation for floors and decks For use on sloping surfaces where low threshold heights are needed Recommended for Internal and external use, Manufacturer: StrataRise

The StrataRise 2442LP pedestal is designed to self-level slopes from 0° up to 5° automatically.
What is the standard height range of this pedestal?
The standard height adjustment range is from 24mm to 42mm. An extender ring is included to increase the height range.
Can I use these pedestals for external decking?
Yes, the 2442LP pedestal is suitable for both internal and external use.
How do I install the extender ring?
To fit the 9mm extender ring, lift the head section out of the base, insert the ring, and then replace the head section securely.
What is the load capacity of a single pedestal?
Each pedestal is rated to support a load of 650Kg when adjusted to its maximum height.
Is the rubber base ring included?
The rubber base ring is an optional accessory and is not included as standard with the pedestal.
How far apart should I space the pedestals?

Troubleshooting
Pedestal does not self-level correctly
Ensure the slope does not exceed the 0° to 5° limit. Check that the joist is centered on the head and that the adjustment ring is not over-tightened.
Difficulty adjusting height
Ensure the area around the adjustment ring is clear of debris. Try lifting the head slightly out of the base before turning the ring.
Instability after installation
Verify that the base plate is on a firm, stable surface. Ensure joists are properly secured to the fixing flange. Check that pedestals are spaced according to project requirements and load calculations.
Joist overhangs the pedestal head
For joists wider than 3" (75mm), ensure alternate pedestals are used on opposite sides of the joist for adequate support.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Automatically levels slopes up to 5 degrees, saving installation time.
Easy and fast height adjustment without needing to reposition joists.
Stable support with a large base plate and optional anti-slip ring.
Reduces the number of pedestals needed due to optimized spacing.
High load capacity ensures robust support for flooring and decking.
Cons
May require alternate joist placement for widths exceeding 3" (75mm).
The standard height range is limited to 24-42mm; extenders may be necessary for greater heights.
Optional anti-slip base ring is not included as standard.
Scribe marks for trimming require careful measurement for precise cuts.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Place the pedestal on the prepared sub-surface. The large 200mm base plate ensures stability.
Position the joist or beam onto the head section of the pedestal. For joists up to 3" (75mm) wide, place the joist centrally on the head.
For joists wider than 3" (75mm), place alternate pedestals from opposite sides of the joist.
Turn the threaded adjustment ring to raise or lower the head section until the joist is at the desired height and level.
Secure the joist to the fixing flange using appropriate screws.
To adjust height further, the head can be lifted slightly out of the base. For increased height, insert the included 9mm extender ring between the head and base before re-engaging.
Compatibility
Suitable for all common joist and beam sizes up to 3" (75mm) wide as standard.
Compatible with most solid sub-surfaces like concrete, pavers, or existing structural elements.
Optional 3mm anti-slip, cushioning rubber base ring available for use on membranes, to reduce noise and provide grip.
Designed for internal and external use.
Care
Keep pedestals clean from excessive dirt or debris that could impede the adjustment mechanism.
Periodically check the stability of the installed structure.
For maintenance, a damp cloth can be used to clean the visible parts of the pedestal. Avoid harsh chemicals.
