Setup, Compatibility & Care
When your plants arrive, remove them from their shipping packaging and water them immediately to allow them to recover from transit. If you are planting them in containers, use high-quality, peat-free multi-purpose compost.
Care Instructions:
- Watering: Keep the compost consistently moist but never waterlogged. Use a finger-test method; if the top inch feels dry, it is time to water.
- Positioning: Locate these in partial shade. They are not suitable for full, scorching sun exposure.
- Feeding: Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every two weeks during the height of the summer to encourage robust blooms.
- Deadheading: Remove faded or withered flowers to redirect energy toward new bud production.
- Frost Protection: Since these are sensitive to cold, move container-grown plants to a frost-free area if a sudden drop in temperature is forecasted late in the season.
