Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure walls are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old wallpaper. Repair any imperfections.
- Apply a suitable wallpaper adhesive evenly to the back of the wallpaper according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Allow the paper to 'relax' or 'paste size' for the recommended time (usually 5-10 minutes) if specified by the adhesive or wallpaper manufacturer.
- Hang the first strip vertically, ensuring it is straight using a spirit level. Trim excess at the ceiling and skirting board.
- Align subsequent strips carefully, matching the damask pattern at the seams.
- Smooth the paper onto the wall using a wallpaper brush or roller, working from the center outwards to remove air bubbles.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is best applied to prepared, smooth, and sound interior walls. It is not recommended for use in high-moisture areas like bathrooms without adequate ventilation, or on textured surfaces.
Care:
Clean gently with a slightly damp, clean cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the glitter and metallic finish. For stubborn marks, a very mild soap solution can be used sparingly on a cloth, followed by a clean damp cloth rinse.
