Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: The AG300 supports a wide range of modern CPU sockets, including Intel LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 1151, LGA 1155, and LGA 1150, as well as AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets. Always confirm your motherboard's socket type before installation.
Installation:
- Ensure your system is powered off and unplugged.
- Prepare the mounting brackets according to your CPU socket type (Intel or AMD).
- Apply a small amount of thermal paste (usually a pea-sized dot) to the center of the CPU.
- Align the cooler's heat pipes with the CPU and attach the mounting brackets securely. For Intel, this typically involves a backplate and clip system. For AMD, it uses the existing retention module.
- Connect the fan's 4-pin PWM cable to the designated CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.
- Secure the fan to the heatsink using the provided clips.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Periodically clean dust from the heatsink fins and fan blades using compressed air or a soft brush. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the cooler to excessive moisture or corrosive environments.
- Regularly check that the fan is spinning correctly.
