Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Connect the RJ45 connectors at both ends of the cable to the corresponding ports on your network devices (e.g., router, switch, computer, gaming console). Ensure the connectors click securely into place. The flat design allows for easy routing along walls, under carpets, or through narrow openings.
Compatibility: This Cat8 cable is backward compatible with Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6a, and Cat 7 Ethernet standards. However, to achieve the maximum speeds of 25-40 Gbps and 2000 MHz, both connected devices and the network infrastructure (router, switch) must also support Cat8 specifications.
Care: Keep the connectors clean to ensure a good connection. Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable, especially near the connectors, to prevent internal wire damage. For installations under carpets or in high-traffic areas, consider using cable protectors or raceways to prevent physical damage. Clean the cable exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals.
