Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup and Compatibility
The Pipercross Performance Replacement Element is engineered as a direct replacement for your vehicle's original air filter. It is designed to fit precisely into the factory airbox without any need for modifications, additional brackets, or special tools. To confirm compatibility, always refer to the product's specific fitment information for your Jaguar or Land Rover model and year.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure maximum performance and to maintain the lifetime warranty, regular cleaning is essential. The recommended cleaning process involves using the Pipercross cleaning kit, which includes a specialized cleaner and a re-oiling agent.
- Remove the Filter: Carefully detach the old air filter from the airbox.
- Clean the Filter: Spray the Pipercross cleaner liberally onto both sides of the filter and allow it to soak for approximately 10-20 minutes. Gently rinse the filter with clean, cool water, working from the inside out to push dirt away from the filter element.
- Dry the Filter: Allow the filter to air dry naturally. Do not use compressed air or apply direct heat, as this can damage the foam.
- Re-oil the Filter: Once completely dry, apply a thin, even layer of Pipercross re-oiling agent to the pleats of the filter. Ensure the oil is lightly visible across the entire surface of the foam.
- Reinstall the Filter: Fit the clean and oiled filter back into the airbox, ensuring a proper seal.
