Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These composite decking boards are designed for straightforward DIY installation. Use standard woodworking tools such as circular saws for cutting and appropriate fasteners for securing the boards to your substructure. Ensure a proper substructure is in place, following recommended spacing guidelines to allow for ventilation and expansion/contraction.
Compatibility: The boards are compatible with most standard decking substructures made from wood or metal. Always check the recommended fastening methods for composite decking to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Care: To maintain the appearance and longevity of your decking, regular cleaning is recommended. Sweep away loose debris periodically. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or power washers, which can damage the surface. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Note that while the material is designed to resist fading, some slight shade changes may occur with prolonged, intense sun exposure. Ensure adequate spacing between boards to allow for water drainage and air circulation.
