Setup, Compatibility & Care
Using this clamp is straightforward: ensure the workpiece is centered between the jaw faces to distribute force evenly. To maintain the clamp's integrity, periodically apply a light machine oil to the threaded screw mechanism to prevent binding. If using the clamp for welding, clear away accumulated debris from the screw threads after each session. Store the clamp in a dry environment; while cast iron is durable, it is susceptible to rust if left in damp conditions for extended periods. When clamping finished wood surfaces, consider using wooden scraps or protective pads between the jaws and your material to prevent indentations.
