Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI output port on your source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, gaming console, computer) and the other end to an HDMI input port on your display device (e.g., TV, projector, monitor). Ensure both devices are powered off before connecting or disconnecting cables. Once connected, power on your devices. Your display should automatically detect the signal. If not, you may need to select the correct HDMI input source on your TV or monitor using its remote control.
Compatibility: This cable is designed to be fully compatible with HDMI 1.4 specifications. It supports 3D video, Audio Return Channel (ARC), and HDMI Ethernet Channel. It is also backwardly compatible with older HDMI versions (1.3, 1.2) and devices using standard HDMI Type A connectors. For advanced features like 4K@30Hz, ARC, or Ethernet, ensure both your connected devices also support these specific features.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable.
- Keep connectors clean and free from dust; use a dry, lint-free cloth if necessary.
- When disconnecting, pull by the connector housing, not the cable itself.
- Store the cable away from extreme temperatures and moisture.
