Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, simply place the mat on a flat, stable surface. Avoid placing it on uneven or soft surfaces like carpet, as this can affect the accuracy of your cuts.
Care Instructions:
- Storage: Always store the mat flat. Never roll or fold it, as this can cause permanent creases that ruin the surface integrity.
- Cleaning: Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Avoid using harsh chemical solvents or alcohol-based cleaners, as these can degrade the self-healing polymers.
- Avoid Heat: Keep the mat away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, heaters, or hot glue guns, as high temperatures can warp the material.
- Blade Maintenance: While the mat is self-healing, avoid using extremely dull blades, as they tend to tear the surface rather than cut through it cleanly.
