Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your timepiece, wind the crown manually if the watch has stopped, and ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water to maintain the 300-metre depth rating.
- Setting the time: Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until it pops out, pull to the second position to adjust time, then push in and screw down firmly.
- Maintenance: Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to saltwater to prevent mineral buildup and corrosion on the bezel mechanism.
- Professional Service: Due to the complexity of the 8L45 movement, it is recommended that professional servicing is conducted every 3-5 years by an authorized Seiko service center.
- Storage: Store the watch away from strong magnetic fields (such as large speakers or electrical transformers) to prevent the hairspring from becoming magnetized, which can affect accuracy.
