Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before installation, verify that your vehicle is equipped with an ignition distributor and uses a 2-pin M4 type connector. This coil is cross-referenced with parts from BorgWarner (BERU), BOSCH, FACET, and JANMOR, as well as numerous OEM part numbers for brands like ABARTH, ALFA ROMEO, AUDI, FIAT, SEAT, SKODA, and VOLVO. It is essential to confirm this part number matches your vehicle's requirements. If unsure, consult your vehicle's service manual or contact a parts specialist.
Installation: Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic. Ensure the engine is cool before starting. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Carefully remove the old ignition coil, noting the wiring connections. Connect the wiring to the new NGK ignition coil, ensuring a secure fitment of the 2-pin connector. Mount the new coil in its designated location. Reconnect the battery terminal.
Care: As a sealed electronic component, the NGK ignition coil requires minimal user care. Keep the coil's exterior clean and free from excessive dirt or debris. Periodically inspect the wiring and connector for any signs of damage or corrosion. Ensure the coil is securely mounted to prevent vibration-related stress.
