FAQs

What cistern hole sizes does this button fit?

The Viva Toilet Push Button is designed to fit cistern lid holes of 40mm, 50mm, and 60mm.

Does this product include the full flushing mechanism?

No, this product is the push button only. It is designed to replace the existing button on your current flushing mechanism.

How do I clean the gold finish?

Clean the gold finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemicals that could damage the surface.

Is this button suitable for dual flush systems?

This is a single push button designed for standard single flush systems. It may not be compatible with dual flush mechanisms.

What material is the button made from?

The product description does not specify the exact material, but it is finished in a gold color family, typical of plastic or metal components used in bathroom fittings.

Can this button be used outdoors?

This push button is designed for indoor toilet cisterns and is not intended for outdoor use.

Troubleshooting

Button is stiff or difficult to press.

Ensure the button is not overtightened and that the internal flushing mechanism is not obstructed. Check for any debris around the button's thread.

Flush is weak or inconsistent.

This issue is likely related to the internal cistern mechanism, not the button itself. Check the float valve, the flush valve seal, and the water level inside the cistern.

Button does not fit the cistern hole.

Verify the cistern hole diameter. While designed for 40mm, 50mm, and 60mm, ensure there are no irregularities in the hole or the button's threaded section.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Highly adaptable to different cistern sizes.
Aesthetically pleasing gold finish.
Straightforward installation process.
Reliable flushing mechanism.

Cons

Gold finish may require specific care to prevent tarnishing.
Does not include the entire flushing mechanism, only the button.
May not match all existing gold fixtures if finishes differ.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Installation typically involves unscrewing the old button from the cistern lid and screwing the new Viva push button into place. Ensure the threaded rod of the button is aligned with the cistern hole and tightened securely but without overtightening.

Compatibility: This button is compatible with cistern lid holes measuring 40mm, 50mm, and 60mm. It is designed to operate standard internal cistern flushing mechanisms.

Care: To maintain the gold finish, wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish over time. Regular dusting will help preserve its appearance.
