FAQs

What type of latex is used for the palm?

The gloves feature the Soft Grip Pro latex formula, known for its reliable performance in all weather conditions.

How do I ensure a secure fit?

The half-wrap strap closure at the wrist allows you to adjust for a locked-in fit, minimizing distractions.

Are these gloves suitable for wet weather?

Yes, the Soft Grip Pro latex is designed to offer reliable grip in various conditions, including wet weather.

What does 'half-negative cut' mean?

This cut typically combines snugness with dexterity, often featuring latex wrapped around the fingers or sewn internally for a close fit.

Can I machine wash these gloves?

No, machine washing is not recommended as it can damage the latex and the glove's construction. Hand wash gently with lukewarm water.

What is the backhand made of?

The backhand is constructed from a combination of ribbed mesh, polyurethane, and latex grip elements for support and punching.

Do these gloves incorporate recycled materials?

Yes, the body of the gloves is made in part with recycled polyester.

Troubleshooting

Reduced grip after use

Clean the latex palm with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Ensure the gloves are dried properly before storage.

Gloves feel too tight or too loose

Adjust the half-wrap strap closure to achieve a secure and comfortable fit. Ensure the correct size was selected.

Latex appears to be cracking or hardening

This is likely due to improper drying (e.g., direct heat or sunlight). Always air dry naturally and store in a cool, dry place.

Discomfort during play

Ensure the glove size is appropriate for your hand. The mesh body and updated backhand are designed for comfort, but fit is paramount.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent grip in various conditions.
  • Comfortable and breathable mesh construction.
  • Secure wrist closure for a locked-in feel.
  • Durable latex elements for punching and catching.
  • Designed with input from professional goalkeepers.

Cons

  • Latex palm requires specific care to maintain grip.
  • May offer less cushioning compared to higher-end models.
  • Half-negative cut might not suit all hand shapes.
  • Recycled polyester may be less durable in extreme conditions.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup:

  1. Unpack the gloves.
  2. Ensure the wrist strap is adjusted for a snug but comfortable fit before each use.

Compatibility:

These gloves are designed for goalkeeping use on football pitches. They are compatible with most standard goalkeeper uniforms.

Care:

  • Cleaning: Gently clean the latex palm after each use with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh detergents or brushes, as they can damage the latex.
  • Drying: Air dry the gloves naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources such as radiators, hairdryers, or direct sunlight, as this can cause the latex to harden and crack.
  • Storage: Store the gloves in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ideally, store them in a breathable bag. Avoid storing them in plastic bags, which can trap moisture.
