Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Identify the RF (coaxial) input port on your television, set-top box, or aerial device. This is typically a round female connector.
- Ensure your source device (e.g., aerial) has a male RF output port.
- Connect one end of the 3-meter cable to the source device's output port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the TV or set-top box's input port.
- If an extension or a connection to a female port on the device is needed, use the provided female-to-female coupler by screwing it onto the end of the cable before connecting to the device.
Compatibility:
This cable is compatible with any device featuring standard male RF (coaxial) input and output ports, commonly found on:
- Televisions (TVs)
- Digital Set-Top Boxes (Freeview, Sky, etc.)
- Aerials and Antennas
- VCRs and DVD Recorders
- Radio tuners
It is designed for 75-ohm impedance systems.
Care:
- Avoid bending the cable sharply, especially near the connectors, to prevent internal wire damage.
- Keep connectors clean and free from dust or debris. If cleaning is necessary, use a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using liquids directly on the contacts.
- Store the cable in a dry place when not in use.
- For securing the cable, use appropriate cable clips (e.g., QS 04501) to prevent strain on the connections. This is particularly important for the 5mm thick diameter cable.
