The TIMCO Urn Pattern Door Knocker is designed for homeowners and contractors looking to add a touch of traditional elegance to timber entrance doors. It serves as a reliable, non-electronic alternative to doorbells, offering a clear audible knock while significantly enhancing curb appeal with its sophisticated satin chrome finish. While it is built for durability, users should note that it is specifically engineered for timber doors and requires drilling for installation, which may not be suitable for all door materials.

This product is specifically designed for timber entrance doors. Installing it on UPVC may void the door's warranty or compromise its thermal integrity.
The product has a corrosion rating of 3, meaning it is highly resistant to rust and oxidation in urban or industrial environments.
Yes, as this uses bolt-through fixings, the bolt heads or cap nuts will be visible on the interior side of the door.
You will need a drill with an appropriate bit size to pass the bolts through the door, and a screwdriver to tighten the fixings.
The knocker is designed to be substantial enough for a clear knock, but lightweight enough to be supported by standard timber doors.
Check the interior bolt-through fixings and tighten them with a screwdriver to ensure the knocker is flush against the wood surface.
Clean the area with a soft, damp cloth and mild soapy water, then buff dry with a clean microfiber cloth.
Installation requires a drill and appropriate bits to create bolt-through holes in your timber door. Always measure your door thickness to ensure the included bolts are compatible before beginning the drilling process. To maintain the finish, wipe the knocker down periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, as these can strip the satin chrome finish and reduce its protective coating over time. Periodically check the interior mounting bolts to ensure they remain tight, though the bolt-through design typically requires very little maintenance.
