No, you must use dimmable LED bulbs to avoid flickering, humming, or permanent damage to the bulbs and the dimmer module.
Yes, it is designed as a 2-way push-on/off rotary dimmer.
The module's built-in overload protection will trigger to prevent damage, which may cause the lights to turn off or fail to operate correctly until the load is reduced.
This module is designed for the PowerGrid range, which uses a modular clip-in system rather than standard fixed-plate designs.
Follow the specific instructions in the product leaflet which involve a sequence of turning the dimmer on and off to toggle the modes.
Adjust the internal minimum brightness setting to a slightly higher level to find the stable operating point for your specific bulbs.
Confirm that the module is installed into a genuine Varilight PowerGrid frame, as it is not cross-compatible with other brands.
Verify the selected driving mode matches your LED bulb manufacturer's requirements; check the manual to toggle between modes.
Installation should be performed by a competent person or qualified electrician. The module is designed to snap into a Varilight PowerGrid mounting frame. Before operation, users should consult the manual to identify the correct 'driving mode' (Mode 1 or Mode 2) based on the specific type of LED bulb installed. To set the minimum brightness, turn the dimmer to the lowest level and adjust the internal trim screw until a stable, dim level is achieved. For care, clean the surface of the faceplate with a dry, soft cloth; do not use abrasive chemicals, as they may damage the black finish of the module.
